I think there are a lot of films concerning homosexuality but maybe not so many serious films about bisexuality. I may have missed some good independent or underground films though.
Well, here are five favourite feature films of mine dealing with bisexuality:
"Henry and June" (Philip Kaufman, 1990)
"The Pillow Book" (Peter Greenaway, 1996)
"Velvet Goldmine" (Todd Haynes, 1998)
"My Own Private Idaho" (Gus Van Sant, 1991)
"Chasing Amy" (Kevin Smith, 1997)
Do you have any favourite films with bisexual characters or a bisexual theme?

"Threesome" is also a charming film." I remember "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" as a great movie but I am unsure about its relation to bisexuality as a theme although one of the men was both a drag queen and a father.

I quite enjoyed the French musical Les Chansons D'Amour (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s54vpKAFmS0) (a.k.a. "Love Songs").

Theres one I have been meaning to get.....it's called 'Lost and Delirious'...about a schoolgirl who has a crush on one of her female classmates. The lead character is Piper Perabo(sp?) and it must be pretty hot because Playboy recomended it in last months issue.

"Lost and Delirious" is quite good actually. I also like Jessica Paré, Piper Perabo’s love interest in the film.

Piper Perabo is SO hot. A little on the butch side in this film, but personally it's a plus!
She also starred in "Coyote Ugly"

^ I still have yet to see it, since I can't find it anywhere (grrr!), but I think "Splendor" features some bi boys.
Also, the main male character in the film I mentioned above ("Love Songs") is bisexual (none of that ambiguous "Is he or is he just gay?" stuff, either).

There are bisexual male characters in three of the films I listed:
"The Pillow Book"
"Velvet Goldmine"
"My Own Private Idaho"
Here are some other films with bisexual male characters:
"Cabaret" (Bob Fosse, 1972)
"French Twist" (a.k.a "Gazon Maudit", Josiane Balasko, 1995)
"Kinsey" (Bill Condon, 2004)
"Teorema" (Pier Paolo Pasolini, 1968)
"Y tu mamá también" (Alfonso Cuarón, 2001)
and apparently in "Total Eclipse" (Agnieszka Holland, 1995)
and "Doom Generation" (Gregg Araki, 1995).

i'm so glad nobody put 'basic instinct' or 'wild things.' those don't count.
the Torchwood: Children of Earth miniseries brought Jack and Ianto's relationship to the forefront, whereas, on the show, it had always been more incidental.

Chasing Amy is a great movie and I truly love Kevin Smith's movies, but from a bisexual standpoint I felt it very disappointing. Through the whole movie, the character has to decide if she's straight or lesbian, but the possibility of being both is never even mentioned. Great movie anyways. XD

Gia, with Angelina Jolie. It's a true story about the bisexual model who died from AIDS. Good movie.

I had really forgotten that "Wonder Boys" had a bisexual male character. Actually, I wrote about the film when it was released, and thought Robert Downey Jr. was brilliant in this minor part back then.
"Basic Instinct" and "Wild Things" are very obvious examples but not to be taken seriously, I think.
"Water Drops on Burning Rocks" is, by the way, directed by François Ozon and is based by a play by Rainer Werner Fassbinder.
As for "Brokeback Mountain" it seemed to me the director tried to show that both the main male characters were unhappy in heterosexual relationships and that they really were meant for eachother - as shown through the fact that Jack wanted them to move together instead, and the fact that Ennis had the last word at the end of the film - "I swear" - when thinking about his late lover. Off course, two men can fall in love or have strong feelings for eachother regardless of orientation.
Gregg Araki has also directed a well known film with a bisexual theme called "Nowhere" (1997). I haven’t seen it yet.

Oh man, I just recently watched "Nowhere", and man . . . it is one of the craziest, trippiest, most WTF! movie I've seen in a long, long time. Without giving any spoilers, the ending will just BLOW YOU AWAY. What this movie was trying to portray, I'll never know.
I will say, though, that there are some pretty sexy scenes in there, and as far as "himbos" go, James Duval is up there, right behind Keanu Reeves. And it was funny and entertaining by turns- I didn't regret seeing it.
