Hi everyone! My boyfriend is a super techie. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on which to buy for him. I was thinking that if I am gonna get a table t I should get the best and go all the way. But I read some reviews that mentioned that the Samsung tablet is just as good and offers more flexibility, just not enough of the apps a person might possibly want. I think that he would appreciate the Samsung for its flexibility but fall in love with the Ipad for all of its apps. Which is the better choice? And what about the wi fi options? He currently has Verizon and I noticed on the Apple website that you have to hook up wifi with the Ipad? HELLPPPPPP

I just last week picked up the new Galaxy Tab 7" that was just released, and am so far loving it! I also have an Ipad 2, which also love. Admittedly am probably also going for one of the new ipads soon, but just cuz I'm a big tech lover. The Galaxy Tab II is very easy to use, have had no problems with it. Loving size, speed. Have not xplored too many applications but is doing everything great thus far.

I think MicroSoft is doing the Surface with Windows 8 OS.

I don't have a full on pad like either the iPad or Galaxy----I do have the NOOK tablet and surely love it---it does pretty much most of what the others do even though it is really more an "E-Reader" than true tablet even though its a NOOK Tablet. I use it to surf the web and of course---mostly read stuff on it---I have gotten subscriptions to a number of papers including the NY Times on it--actually I am very much liking to read papers on it--and also love to get some mags on it---I also have gone through a number of books on it.

Well then if the gift is a fail keep me in mind!

I hear Apple is getting into TV's as well, I guess that means a Maxipad could be one of your options.
