Paris Hilton couldn't have an intelligent thought if she tried. She is the stereotypical DUMB blond.

Honestly, the remarks were taken out of context. Not that I agree with anything she says, I don't even really care that she continues to breathe.. but the point is she has an expectation of privacy when in a cab talking to a friend. I do agree that things like Grindr do perpetuate things and in this day and age bareback sex with total strangers is russian roulette, but to continue going at her for something she really didn't do as a public statement is pretty sad. She's got enough problems.. leave poor abused Paris alone... or at least just bury her and move on lol

I have no particular gripe about Paris Hilton and I can think of a million things I have said which if taken out of context tells the world I am racist, sexist, homophobic, and a million other things. I am and was aware of her apology and her statements about this incident, but it was and is meant to be a bit of fun.. as for "poor" Paris being so abused.. I could do with my bank account being so abused... *laffs*

Paris Hilton? paris hilton parishilton???? Oh, yes!, that boney fucked in the head perpetual dumb shit who is a total disgrace to humanity... the one so boney even her own little lap dog wouldnt try to bury her... what an oxygen thief.
DD, I use GRINDR on a daily basis. Like any other hook up service it's only as good as you the members make it. Dunno where others get their statistics from, but the majority of the guys i have met thru it are very insistent on wrapping their rascal, to include during oral. those that insist n bareback very quickly get kicked to the curb. the majority of the guys i have met are bi not gay. only in the larger cities does it become predominantly gay. regardless, unless you actually use the service, you shouldnt judge.
back to the thread; this quote from one of the commentators pretty much sums it up:
"has anyone else noticed how much paris looks more and more like ann coulter every time you see her pic...and she has the same attitudes...shes pretty judgmental for a woman whos career began with a sex tape"

lol Obviously she's not Lifestyle whatso ever. ANYone in the Lifestyle who has casual sex is smart enough to know that unprotected sex is INsane, and when most folks in the Lifestyle find out that someone Doesnt play safely, they Are punted to the curb immediately. Doesnt matter if youre gay, Straight, Bi, Transgendered, ect...Safety is Safety, no if's, and's or butt's..(Pun intended).
And, when riding in a cab, and bleating like a sheep, ya gotta figured that Someone/Somewhere is going to hear the conversation. Life happens.
People ike her; Anorexic Nevu-Reich' Society Socialites, can just live with their suppositions..we Real people will live with the truth...And have Vastly more fun doing it! lol

I'm at a point to look at folks whom quote the opinions of others and say, "so the fuck what?" Honestly, is there nothing better to do than go round regurgitating opinions of others? People cannot intellectually debate opinion as it's purely subjective, not based in fact.
In this case also concur in considering the source of the opinion and frankly I don't have any opinion of Paris Hilton. I'm indifferent and callous about her, as in who is she, why should I care? Does her opinion make the Earth rotate or not? Does anyone's?
Yeah, I have quote as my signature. It's a reminder to myself to be more clear in thinking. It's not regurgitating a wise man's opinion for the sake of gossip, rather as said, a reminder.

There is a smidge of misogyny on this thread I must admit to not expecting... the thread is not about Paris Hilton or what she is like as a person, her breeding, wealth or her morals.. how she got started on her career has no bearing but as with any human being good luck to her if she gets a break from being filmed fucking.. lots of people do...both get breaks from it and just filming it for fun and lots get breaks for doing far, far worse..... nothing wrong with it whether they are rich or poor, nob or peasant.....and as to her being judgemental that is arguable but most of us are to one degree or t'other..and even if she is, what she said or is purported to have said, irrespective of context, is no more judgemental than judging one as being too judgemental because she got her career break being filmed shagging.. even although I very much doubt with her privilege and her wealth that is anything like the case...
.. within the dozen or so quotes contained in the little quiz are some real bastards who would so us real harm if they could.. I suggest u leave the poor wee cow alone and concentrate on some of them rather than her...
..and let me say this.. she may be daft and less than bright.. I wouldn't know, but having spent 4 years of me life socialising with some of her kind if possibly not quite from such obscene wealth and such an "illustrious" family, quite a few of the little snob nob bimbo tarts are not quite such bimbo's, neither are they all such snob nobs nor for that matter are they all tarts... and about compassion and tolerance and not being judgemental a few of them could teach some of us a thing or two... many are the stereotypical spoiled toffee nosed bitches of legend, maybe even most... but not all by a long shot...

smidge of misogny?
What was your purpose in starting this thread darkeyes?
You create a thread about a woman who has made questionable comments about gay men. You give her credibility by creating a thread.
Why should this person be given crediblity that her words have any significant value? If posters both male and female do not give her words credibility they are misogynist?
Are posters classist as well?

The thread like the original article is NOT about Paris Hilton... her words, in whatever context and I made no comment about context, were merely the lead in to a little bit of fun which is what the original article and its little quiz is.. at least I thought so and that was my purpose as indeed it was of Laura Davis. Peeps have latched on to what Paris Hilton said and ignored the rest...

Apologies if what I posted is or can be construed as misogynistic. Thought it was clear I didn't give one whit about whose opinion was being spat back up. Just find it rather lame at best to create quarrels based upon opinions. Opinions are not factual and as such I'm keen to perceive them as fiction at best. "Oh, okay someone thinks X. Guess it would be interesting if I cared what someone named Y thought. I don't so it's not."

interesting quiz 10/12...... I tend to just shut off to people that say things that are classed as homophobic / bi phobic..... they have a opinion, so what.... its not different to some of the things I have seen posted in this site, about and against some of the members and much of it is more homophobic / biphobic than I have heard from anti LGBT protestors....

Well, based on my experience growing up I used to think a similar thing, as a 12 year old boy when you see enough drunk abusive assholes beat your mother over the head with a cane while she cowers in the corner you have to wonder just what "being a man" really is..
For years I ran away from being a man because I wanted to be as far away and different from what I witnessed. I was pretty much ready to write things off. However, nature has a funny sort of way of saying, "Look what *I* can make YOU do.." ONE guy actually held me like he wanted me and from that point on growing up I found myself wanting just to be loved and accepted by men more than anything else in the world.
Now years later I understand a little better through adult eyes what was really going on.
I have a lot of straight friends that are sympathetic to LGBT issues but if you ASK them they will readily admit they don't know what it FEELS like to be LGBT. Therefore it does not surprise me that Ms. Hilton would make a comment about it being "scary" to be gay - I can understand where she is coming from if she's a straight person (I have no idea). Frankly it IS a little scary, I like my health too much to just have anonymous sex. My one gay friend who came out in the 70's said it was great, then AIDS happened and the world changed..people became a lot less friendly. I tell him that people still hook up, but of course it's much more "private" now.

I still want to know when the cab driver is losing his job and getting arrested for illegally tape recording her... I'd also like to know exactly why it took so long for him to "release" it... did he have to wait for the denial for his blackmail notice from the Hilton family???
Really, Fran, the way you posted this.. you put the focus on Paris Hilton.. not the quiz, you could have posted directly to the quiz but you chose to post it this way and then dare to accuse us of misogny??? Paris is a woman, I won't deny it no matter how much she makes our gender look crappy, but it has nothing to do with why I dislike her. I don't happen to have a soft spot for any rich society bitch making a living off the jealousy of others. But I am saying she did have an expectation of privacy despite who she is and if she was talking to a GAY friend about something it was up to the GAY friend to say something if he had a problem with her remarks. But since the entire conversation isn't available we don't know the way it was said and we don't know what they said specifically that prompted a response.
I got 11 out of 12 on the quiz, why?? Cause I actually pay attention to all the news not just what is "worthy". :2cents:

hmm
So, what does it mean if you get a low score on this test?(or a high score)
Does it mean that you do not know how to identify a bigot(s)?
Is it really important that you can attach a bigoted statement with who said it or that you understand when a statement is bigoted?
Does it have anything to do with being a bisexual? (especially since most are referring to gay people..or does the argument go "well bisexuals are just gay people anyway and suffer the same way"...ie bi erasure)

legally, here, if you are in any public transportation like a bus or taxi, you do not have" a reasonable right to privacy" since you are in a public space. so thats against her.

There was no general accusation of misogyny... the word smidge means what it says... a teensy weensy little bit... no accusation is made against all and sundry so get off the high horsie and chill life is too short.. tenni's questioning of posters being "classist" is more relevant in a way... there is a greater hint of class prejudice than of misogyny.. but its not a big deal.. I don't have any time for Paris Hilton's class either..
As to how I posted the thread, a little light reading and comprehension is all that was required of both my post and the link to understand what it was about but I do acknowledge maybe I should have used the word "quiz" in my post..
11 out of 12 huh? Maybe u do pay attention to all the news, I know I don't.. if I did I'd never have the telly or radio off, put a newspaper down and me house would be ceiling high in paper and never do owt but scan the web... rest of me life would come to a dead stop even trying... impossible thing to do..
