In response to the thread "men who cross dress are gay?" I would like to ask other men why they cross dress, even if its just women's panties?

In my case I cross dress because I find it a sexual turn on plus its fun and naughty. I find it a turn on because I am sexually attracted to women. Its like taking sexual desire to the next step, wanting to be the object of your own sexual desire. If I wasn't sexually attracted to women I do not think it would turn me on.

The second part is that I find it relaxing. I am able to shed my traditional masculine responsibilities and relax and enjoy my feminine side. I particularly enjoy cross dressing for stress relief.

Over time many cross dressers report that the sexual turn on becomes secondary to the relaxation aspect.

I think the answer is that men grow up being told that they "can't" wear a certain type of clothing or act in a certain way and some of us begin to wonder why. I've always wondered what defines masculine or feminine - that is, I know what defines them but I've never appreciated that any of these traits are biologically determined and so I've always tried to challenge that status quo in terms of what I'm attracted to and in terms of what my own appearance should be.

I don't cross-dress as a habit, myself but yet I find the concept sexy and liberating. I'm attracted to feminine looking women and would be turned on if somebody found me attractive in a dress. I don't like masculine heterosexuality and get turned on by whatever takes me away from that rigid, restricting world.

I love dressing!!!!
bikiniman, you are so right, for me its not about a sexual turn on, its all about how it makes me feel mentally and emotionally. It really does relax me and helps me to escape the rigours of evereyday life, work, divorce, kids.
I do it cause I enjoy the feel of how wearing a nice dress, a skirt and blouse or even a nice pair of pants and a blouse makes me feel. Genetic women have no idea how lucky they are. OH, I can't forget the foot wear. I just love and am so jealous that women get to wear on a regular basis such wonderful varieties and colors of shoes. From flats to wedges, to boots or heels, they just make the whole ensemble.
I just love the feel of soft sensual silky clothes against my skin and it truly relaxes me.
I will admit that reading about how other dressers are out dating men, I am curious to know what that would be like. I have been out in public but on at clubs, for me its about looking, acting, sounding and moving like a woman. Not looking like a man in a dress.
I don't dress everyday like some do, only when I am going out but i do wear heels in the house so I can continue to practice my feminine walk.
i really would like to get out in the day and shop and know what it would feel like to go into a woman's shop, browse, try on clothes and even go to a shoe store and try on shoes.
I am now taking voice lessons and learning to speak and sound like a woman... it is amazing how much more womanly you feel, when your voice sound feminine with out doing it in a falsetto sound. The Sales attendants really treat me more fem and one girl had no idea and I spoke to her for about 20 mins. I even had a tea with a woman I met a starbucks, it took her about 30 mins to finally realize I was not a genetic girl. she was so impressed and we have now become friends and just loves Sarah.

all you men out there should try it and all you women out there, be more open to men who love to cross dress and be friend a few.
